Details:
Arable land refers to productive agricultural land, under permanent or temporary crops, at national level. It is calculated as percentage of land area at national level. Such an indicator offers a clear picture of the potential arable land of Romania and can be used for medium and long-term prognoses for the development of agricultural activities. Among CEE countries, Romania ranks second (after Poland) in terms of arable land.
