This indicator shows the cyber alerts at national level by using the automated or manual monitoring of cyber incidents by the specialized national entity, CERT-RO. There is no clear, precise system for monitoring cyber incidents in the world, which is the reason why the data presented here do not include all the incidents that have effectively occurred. This indicator shows that cyber security is a very dynamic field and has a series of risks, threats and vulnerabilities that need to be taken into consideration. The number of cyber alerts in Romania has been increasing annually and it is noteworthy that they are equally owed to internal vulnerabilities, human errors or malfunctions, and intentional, technically diverse actions.
