This indicator shows the quality of living. The breakdown can be made on sex, age groups, types of households. International comparisons for 2017 show that Romania is the unwanted leader in the field, with approximately a third (31%) of households with no bath. Percentages for other countries were: Latvia 14%, Lithuania 13%, Bulgaria 11%, Estonia 5%. EU average is 2%.

The analysis shows continuous improvement, the rate for 2007 being 42%, constantly decreasing annually. With no fluctuations in the current trend, it will take Romania 30 years to get closer to EU average.
