This indicator shows the percentage of people aged 16-74 who use internet regularly (at least once a week). The data is presented on development regions. This indicator is relevant for evaluating the digitalization of the Romanian society, its digital training and information access. Taking into consideration the central role played by the Internet in the development of economic, financial and social activities, digitalization becomes an important acquisition in the development and modernization process. In the case of the development regions, in 2017 București-Ilfov reached 75%, which coincides with the objective established by the digital agenda in Europe. In the other regions, the percentage of adults using the internet regularly was between 48% and 58% in 2017.
