This indicator shows information about young people aged 15-34 who meet the following two conditions: 1. They are not employed (unemployed or inactive); 2. They have not received any education or training in the four weeks preceding the survey. The breakdown is made on sex and age groups. Data is available starting 2007. The countries with high NEET rates (the case of Romania, with 20.8% in 2018) are countries where the premises for the rapid development of the young generation are extremely fragile, especially against the background of a steep population decline.
